As the Vice President of Talent Acquisition for Waterstone Mortgage Corporation in Pewaukee, WI. Mike was tasked with building a Talent Acquisition team from the ground up to help grow the organization and build an organization that centered around operational efficiency.  Mike and his world-class talent acquisition team grew the organization from $264M to $2B in 3 years’ time. Waterstone Mortgage earned its first recognition by Mortgage Executive Magazine as the 5th best mortgage company to work for in the US.

He was recruited by the CHRO and CEO of Dohmen Life Science Services, a 150-year-old Pharma and Biotech consulting firm and was tasked with building the Operations team to create a culture of operational excellence and support growth.  Dohmen earned its first recognition from the Milwaukee Journal as one of the city’s best Small Business to work for and was highlighted in several industry leading publications for the leadership transformation. The HR team also earned the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce esteemed Top HR team for the work Mike completed in transforming the culture and leadership of the organization. The end goal was to position the organization for sale to a private equity firm, a task he completed in 3 years.
